Wet Lab Highlight: Bandaging Wet Lab with Dr. Elaine Claffey from Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists

Let’s get a firsthand view of some field bandaging techniques, tips and tricks…like how to stabilize an equine limb in the field for transport with just what we have handy!

Dr. Elaine Claffey is an equine surgeon at Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists, CRES, located on Long Island in Elmont, New York. She attended veterinary school at Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to a surgical residency at Cornell University, staying as a clinical instructor in the Large Animal Surgery department before moving to Long Island to join the team at CRES. She enjoys working with all varieties of race and sport horses and grew up competing in three day eventing on mostly off the track Thoroughbreds.
