Evaluation of Occupational Injuries to Veterinary Support Staff Working with Large Animals

You are invited to participate in a survey entitled “Evaluation of Occupational Injuries to Veterinary Support Staff Working with Large Animals.” The purpose of this survey is to document the prevalence of large animal occupational injuries to veterinary support staff across the United States and identify current practices, personal protective equipment usage, and availability of safety training. The data will also be utilized to look for ways to improve safety practices and behaviors. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to answer questions about occupational injuries you may have sustained, animal holding and restraint practices, personal protective equipment, history of safety training and stressors related to veterinary practice.

This survey is completely anonymous and no personal information will be collected. Participation is voluntary. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You will not receive any direct benefit from your participation in this study. The results of the survey may be presented in a professional venue, such as a journal or professional conference. In this event, only aggregate data will be presented.
